It was a shame that we only got to do this walk last Sunday, but it was beautiful. For just two more weeks, the City of El Paso will shut down Scenic Dr. from Rim Rd. to Alabama. Not sure how long the route is there and back, but I will guess around 2 miles each way. There are police blocking off intersections to keep cars and motorcylces out, so it is safe. Bring some water with you and stop somewhere in the middle to enjoy the view. They close the road down from 6 a.m. – 12 p.m. The weekend of August 31st is the last date that the road will be closed for this year, so be sure to get out there and enjoy it!
