NO VETO, Ballpark moves forward

Mayor Cook decided to not use his veto power against the ballpark issue today.  I truly feel like the Mayor made the best decision for El Paso.  The ballpark is just a cog in the redevelopment of downtown….with that said…this gives other investors the confidence to move forward with their own projects downtown and will signal to those sitting on the fence that El Paso is ready to move forward.

Will this risk pay off?  Only the future will tell but I can say that there are many positive indicators that point to a healthier, more vibrant El Paso.

Next up is the city bond election…

My name is David and I am living El Paso.

I think John Cook was paid to change his mind. Why do you think Emma changed her vote because the flip flopper was going to vote against it. He didn’t veto Tuesday because he wanted to give the special interest groups enough time to figure out what his decision was worth. In the near future the truth will be revealed.
