UTEP Football Gearing Up!

I truly love this time of year.  Fall is getting ready to start…well, the El Paso version of Fall…and college football is UTEP Logobeginning.  Yes, I enjoy the top 25 games but I really love my Baylor Bears and my new second favorite, UTEP Miners.

Night games at the Sun Bowl are special and so are the fans. El Paso fans cheer harder than any other fan base that I know of….it helps even more if the team is winning.

I won’t be able to make the home opener this Saturday but I hope many of you will be there in my place…cheering hard as Coach Price walks down the stairs with his Pickaxe.

Wanna get hyped?

Texas vs. The Nation next week on 2/06/2010

It is that time a year again for college football fans in El Paso.   Want a chance to catch future NFL players running, jumping, catching, and tackling right here EP?  If you do, then you won’t want to miss this game.

Two of my Baylor Bears will be out there proving themselves to scouts and fans….David Gettis, a receiver and Jordan Lake, a safety.   These two were playmakers during their time at BU and I am excited for them to be out here in El Paso.

Here is highlight video that features Gettis and Lake who will be playing in El Paso.

Speaking of, I would like to see a Baylor vs. UTEP game sometime in the future…Bob Stull needs to work on that  matchup.

If you are looking for tickets to the college all star game, click here to find out more info. Tickets range from $8 – $40 although you might be able to find some free ones if you look hard enough.

See you there on February 6th at 12 p.m.!

In Nashville, be back in the EP Wednesday

Just wanted to let everyone know that I am currently in Nashville with Mallory volunteering for AFCA (American Footbal Coaches Association) Convention.  I’m having a great time and have learned a lot talking to various college and high school coaches.  Thank you to all who have been commenting while I have been away.
